Selena Cartwright, a Principal of the firm, has over eight years experience in the Legal Industry. After completing her five year articles of clerkship with the firm, she was admitted as a Solicitor of both the High Court and Supreme Court of Australia. Selena holds a special interest in helping people who are involved in the breakdown of a relationship and prides herself on achieving the best possible outcome for her client’s in addition to providing tactical advice which ensures her client’s rights are protected. Throughout her career Selena has been involved in both national and international family law matters and brings a wealth of experience in complex property matters, children’s matters (including international children’s cases under the Hague Convention), paternity disputes, child support issues, domestic violence, spousal maintenance and de facto property settlements. Selena holds a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in sociology) and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England. She is a member of the Queensland Law Society, the Young Women’s Lawyers Association, the Family Law Section of the Law Council and sits on the management committee of the Gympie Women’s health Centre. When not working Selena enjoys spending quality time with family and friends and traveling abroad. To date she has traveled extensively throughout Asia and Europe. |

Kat holds a Bachelor of Arts (political science) from Deakin Uni and Bachelor of Lawyers from the Bond University and recently joined our team taking on the role of Associate and Practice Manager. She brings to the practice her experience as a Manager and Associate of Shine Lawyers, a large national law firm, specialising in personal injury litigation. Kat was admitted in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1999 and Federal Court of Australia October 1999. She is a winner of the Scholarship School of Law Bond University (1996) and she is the winner of two Shine prestigious awards being, the most outstanding client service and most outstanding achievement (your voice) award in 2006. She is also admitted as a ALA Member. In addition to her role as practice manager Kat will head the Conveyancing Team and will continue to provide a high level of professionalism and service in her chosen fields of personal injuries, criminal compensation, and commercial litigation. |

Neil recently joined our firm as a Senior Associate in Commercial Law. He is an experienced commercial law practitioner with 27 years experience in the legal profession. Neil oversees the commercial section and conducts commercial and property matters including conveyancing, resumptions, leasing, franchising, local government, wills and estates administration. Neil has a special interest in Body Corporate Law and Mediation of Commercial disputes. Neil is currently undertaking his Masters in Law and is due to complete same in June, 2008. |

Russell joined us in June, 2006 after 34 years experience in local government. He has served with 6 Queensland Councils, held senior management appointments with 4 of these and his most recent appointment was as Chief Executive Officer of Cooloola Shire Council from 1999 to 2006. At this time, Cooloola Shire Council had a staff establishment of 320, a budget of $67 million expenditure and provided in excess of 100 shire services. He is married with 5 children and has had many years involvement in his local community. He is presently a member of the Cooloola Community Private Hospital, Community Advisory Committee and a Director of the Cooloola Christian College. He enjoys helping clients and works in the Commercial department of the firm. He is currently very involved in assisting client’s with compensation claims associated with the proposed Traveston Crossing Dam and the proposed relocation of the Bruce Highway - Cooroy to Curra. He is currently undertaking studies in law through the Queensland University of Technology. |

Graeme was born in Gympie and joined our team in October, 2006 after 39 years working in the Commonwealth Bank both nationally and internationally wherein he worked both in senior management and as an inspector. He currently is employed in our estate planning and administration department where he has experience in the preparation of wills and enduring powers of attorney. He also administers deceased estates. In his spare time he in a keen golfer and is a Broncos supporter. He is actively involved in community organizations. |

Kaitlyn joined our Conveyancing Department in January, 2008 and brings a wealth of experience in buying and selling residential property. Having completed school in 2006 Kaitlyn obtained employment in a Maryborough legal firm during which time she completed her Real Estate Sales Certificate and became a Commissioner for declarations. In June, 2007 Kaitlyn commenced work for a local real estate agent, putting her qualifications in real estate into practice before joining the team at Baldwin Cartwright. Kaitlyn remains committed to her client’s and ensuring that their rights are protected when buying and selling. |

Kathy Strauch Kathy joined our conveyancing team in September, 2006. She has over the past six years had extensive experience in conveyancing, wills, litigation and commercial law. She is a Commissioner for Declarations. |

Sarah joined the team at Baldwin Cartwright Lawyers in November, 2005. She is currently undertaking a Bachelor of Laws through the Queensland University of Technology and has partially completed a Bachelor of Business. Sarah works exclusively in the Family Law Department having experience in all facets of family law issues and legal aid Queensland procedures. She is also a Justice of the Peace (Qualified). |

Janine joined our team in November, 2006 as a receptionist and was recently promoted as a personal assistant to Selena Cartwright and Katrina Pedersen providing ongoing support. She also attends to a full range of administrative functions of the practice and is a client care officer ensuring that all of the needs of the firm’s clients are met to help us achieve our promise of providing the highest possible standard of client service. |
